February PPEs

After half term you will have a two hour Pure Maths assessment. This will be an AS paper, with questions on vectors and binomial expansion removed because some classes will not have completed those topics by then. Please revise the following topics for this assessment:

• Surds and indices
• Quadratics
• Equations and inequalities
• Graphs and transformations
• Straight line graphs
• Circles
• Algebraic division, the factor theorem and proof
• Trigonometry (ratios, identities, equations)
• Differentiation
• Integration
• Exponentials and logarithms 

It is recommended that you complete the mixed exercises and practice papers in the textbook. You will also benefit from completing the following practice papers (skipping the vectors and binomial questions):

• Edexcel sample AS Paper 1 (solutions at the end)
• CRASHmaths AS Mock Paper 1 (solutions)
• CRASHmaths AS Practice Paper 1 Set A (solutions)
• CRASHmaths AS Practice Paper 1 Set B (solutions)

Remember that your grade in this test will help us determine your UCAS prediction so it is very important that you do a lot of revision over half term. If you want support, please come to clinic after school on Monday in M7.
